“The newly released Are Playing Where??? Vol. 1 includes live tracks captured during the band’s latest performances across the United States.”

The Foo Fighters have dropped a surprise live EP titled Are Playing Where??? Vol. 1. The six-track release captures recordings from their recent string of unannounced U.S. concerts, where Dave Grohl and the band performed in intimate venues such as San Luis Obispo’s Fremont Theater, Santa Ana’s Observatory, Washington D.C.’s Black Cat, and New Haven’s Toad’s Place. These shows also marked the live debut of the group’s new drummer, former Nine Inch Nails member Ilan Rubin.

The setlists spanned the band’s full career, but the EP highlights material from their early days, including live renditions of Alone + Easy Target, Exhausted, Wattershed, Weenie Beenie, and Winnebago. The only exception is White Limo from Wasting Light. Available exclusively via Bandcamp, the release will benefit local charities in each of the cities where the shows took place.

As 2025 winds down, Foo Fighters still have upcoming tour dates — with shows lined up in Japan next week, followed by two concerts in Mexico this November.
