The Canadian rock group’s first studio album since 2022 is scheduled for release this fall.

Nickelback has officially revealed that a new studio album is on the way.

On July 14, the Canadian rock band announced that its 11th studio record, Everything Under the Sun, will be released on Oct. 30 through Virgin Music Group. To accompany the announcement, the group also introduced the album’s first single, “Rattle the Cage.”

The project marks Nickelback’s first full-length album since 2022’s Get Rollin’. It follows an eventful period for the band, which included the release of the documentary Hate to Love: Nickelback and an extensive Get Rollin’ world tour.

Lead vocalist Chad Kroeger said the upcoming album reflects the band’s diverse musical style. According to him, the record features some of the heaviest material the group has created while also exploring new ideas and revisiting the qualities that have kept the band performing together for decades.

Kroeger added that “Rattle the Cage” was chosen as the lead single because it perfectly captures the excitement and intensity the band has experienced during its live performances. He said the song serves as an energetic introduction to the new album and that the group is eager for fans to hear it.

Described by the band as a high-powered rock anthem designed for arena performances, “Rattle the Cage” also includes a guest appearance by guitarist John 5, who has worked with artists such as Mötley Crüe, Rob Zombie, and Marilyn Manson.

According to Nickelback, Everything Under the Sun will highlight the band’s musical versatility by combining hard-hitting rock tracks with more thoughtful and melodic songs.

Founded in Hanna, Alberta, Nickelback has sold nearly 60 million albums worldwide since achieving mainstream success with its 2001 breakthrough album Silver Side Up, which featured the chart-topping hit “How You Remind Me.” Throughout its career, the band has also released several well-known songs, including “Photograph,” “Rockstar,” “Far Away,” and “Burn It to the Ground.”
