Metallica still has more ground to cover, a notable achievement for the iconic band that has already played on all seven continents. The thrash metal legends have now revealed plans for a late 2025 performance in a country they have never performed in before.
Just days after kicking off their 2025 tour, the band announced a concert at Bahrain’s Beyon Al Dana Amphitheatre on December 3, marking their debut performance in the Middle Eastern nation.
Tickets for the event will be available on the venue’s website, with public sales starting Thursday.
Metallica’s Statement on Their First Bahrain Performance
“Greetings from the road! We kicked off our 2025 tour in Syracuse on Saturday… and it feels fantastic to be back!” Metallica shared in a statement. “We’re excited to keep the momentum going in 2025, with two additional stops after our time in Australia and New Zealand. On December 3, we’ll perform for the first time ever in Bahrain at Beyon Al Dana Amphitheatre, and on December 6, we’ll headline one of the After-Race Concerts at the Abu Dhabi F1 Grand Prix on Yas Island.”
The Beyon Al Dana Amphitheatre, with a 10,000-seat capacity, is much smaller than the stadiums Metallica typically fills. However, its unique design more than makes up for its size. The venue is carved out of rock and built 50 feet below the surface of the Sakhir desert. It also emphasizes sustainability, featuring corporate boxes made from repurposed shipping containers.
These newly announced performances in Bahrain and Abu Dhabi will conclude an ambitious and far-reaching 2025 tour.
Currently, Metallica is touring North America, with back-to-back performances scheduled in Toronto this weekend. Later in the year, they’ll perform at Black Sabbath’s “Back to the Beginning” reunion in Birmingham, England, in July, followed by a stop in Australia in November.
