Metallica has scheduled ten No Repeat Weekend series in Las Vegas, often called the “City of Lost Wages.”

Metallica expands Las Vegas Sphere residency with six additional shows

Metallica has announced six extra dates for their upcoming Las Vegas residency at the state-of-the-art Sphere, bringing the total to 20 performances across October and November 2026, and January and February 2027. The shows will be presented under the banner Life Burns Faster, a nod to a lyric from Metallica frontman James Hetfield’s track Master of Puppets.

The newly added No Repeat Weekend performances—where the band will deliver completely unique sets for each weekend—are scheduled for February 4 & 6, 18 & 20, and 25 & 27, 2027.

Co-founder and drummer Lars Ulrich said, “About 12 seconds into U2’s opening night at Sphere in 2023, I thought, ‘We have to do this—it’s completely uncharted territory!’ This residency lets us reimagine the live experience and connect with fans in a new way. We are beyond excited to share it with the world and take things to the next level.”

By staging a residency at Sphere, Metallica joins a lineup of iconic acts including U2, Dead & Company, No Doubt, Eagles, and Phish, who have all performed at the revolutionary venue.
