Liam Gallagher has been engaging fans on social media as he celebrates Oasis being inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, responding to comments with his trademark humor and blunt replies.
After the 2026 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees were revealed on American Idol on Monday, April 13, the 53-year-old singer marked the occasion on X.
“I wanna thank all the people who voted for us it’s a real honour ever since I was a little kid and singing in the shower I’d dream about 1 day being in the RnR hall of fame it’s true what they say anything is possible if you have a dream LG x,” he wrote.
In the replies, one fan questioned his earlier stance, asking, “what happened to not wanting to be in it hmmmmmm.” Gallagher replied, “Well I was speaking to my mummy last night when the news broke and she thinks I may have been a little hasty with my perception of the organization she’s told me to stop being a dick and go to the awards and behave and you never know you might enjoy it.”
Earlier that evening, he also joked, “Reverse psychology vibes in the area Oasis RnR hall of farmers I mean famers.”
When asked about his potential acceptance speech, he quipped, “Well I’ll obv bring a box of chocolates and flowers and apologize to the organizers for my ignorance.”
He also praised supporters who said they voted for Oasis, calling them “the best,” while responding sharply to critics who labeled him a “hypocrite,” writing, “i know rite what a c—.”
Back in February 2025, when the nomination was first announced, Gallagher had dismissed the institution on X, writing, “RNR hall of fame is for WANKERS.”
Oasis are set to be officially inducted at a ceremony in Los Angeles in November, alongside artists including Phil Collins, Billy Idol, Iron Maiden, Joy Division/New Order, Sade, Wu-Tang Clan, and the late Luther Vandross.
The band also reunited for a series of 2025 shows, with Noel Gallagher later describing the performances at the BRIT Awards in March as “better than the ‘90s.”
