“The sentiment and spirit of the band will always remain,” Journey founder Neal Schon stated.
Journey is set to say farewell with a major North American tour in 2026. On Friday, Nov. 7, the legendary rock band announced the Final Frontier Tour, calling it a “heartfelt goodbye to the fans who’ve been with us.”
The tour kicks off on Feb. 28 in Hershey, Pennsylvania, and will span 60 shows across the U.S. and Canada, concluding on July 2 in Laredo, Texas. The lineup includes founder and guitarist Neal Schon, keyboardist and backing vocalist Jonathan Cain, lead singer Arnel Pineda, keyboardist and vocalist Jason Derlatka, drummer and vocalist Deen Castronovo, and bassist Todd Jensen.
“This tour is our heartfelt thank you to the fans who’ve been with us every step of the way—through every song, every era, every high and low,” said 71-year-old Schon. “We’re pulling out all the stops with a brand-new production—the hits, the deep cuts, the energy, the spectacle. It’s a full-circle celebration of the music that’s brought us all together. As its founding member, I carry the Journey torch to this day, wherever I go. The sentiment and spirit of the band will always remain.”
Schon added, “While this marks a farewell to one powerful chapter of the Journey we’ve shared, I want everyone to know I’m not done. Music is still burning strong inside me, and there are new creative horizons ahead. This tour is both a thank you and the beginning of what’s next.”
Cain, 75, said, “It’s been an incredible ride. We’ve shared our music with millions, and this tour is about gratitude, connection, and one last chance to feel that magic together. We wouldn’t want it any other way.” Pineda, 58, added, “I’m honored to be part of this legacy and I’m grateful for having been welcomed with such open arms. Every night on stage has been a dream come true.”
Tickets go on sale first through a Citi presale on Nov. 11 at 10 a.m. local time, with the general public sale beginning Nov. 14 at 10 a.m. VIP packages are also available via Journey’s website.
The tour will feature a setlist of fan favorites including “Don’t Stop Believin’,” “Any Way You Want It,” “Faithfully,” “Lights,” and more.
This announcement follows a brief social media controversy in which Schon claimed Cain had announced his farewell. A spokesperson for Cain later confirmed he remains active in the band and committed to touring through 2026–2027. Schon clarified that Cain plans to step away after the 2027 tour.
