Aerosmith and Yungblud Drop “Desert Road Version” of My Only Angel Featuring Steve Martin on Banjo
Aerosmith and Yungblud have unveiled a fresh take on last month’s single My Only Angel. The newly released “Desert Road Version” features bluegrass legend, actor, and comedian Steve Martin on banjo. Martin recorded his parts remotely after Steven Tyler personally reached out to him about joining the project.
My Only Angel marked Aerosmith’s first new music since their 2012 album Music from Another Dimension! when it arrived in September. The collaboration between the rock icons and Yungblud first took shape after the two acts worked together on a reimagined version of Yungblud’s nine-minute track Hello Heaven, Hello. That creative spark led to a full writing session and eventually inspired their upcoming EP, One More Time, set for release on November 21.
The EP will include three additional collaborations — Problems, Wild Woman, and A Thousand Days — along with a new mix of Aerosmith’s 1977 classic Back in the Saddle.
Meanwhile, Yungblud is wrapping up the European leg of his Idols World Tour. Following four U.S. dates next month, he’ll kick off shows in Australia early next year before launching an extensive North American run starting in May.
